Something has been coming up a lot lately when speaking with women in my community, and that is how getting pregnant feels so hard.
When I was facing my own fertility challenges, which I share more about in Episode 1 & Episode 2, it felt like no matter what I tried nothing was working. I was frustrated that I had to do so many things while other people seemed to get pregnant so easily. This made me feel like a failure because getting pregnant should be something that comes easy for women and I didn’t understand why it was so hard for me.
Have you ever felt this way too? If so, I’m sharing 3 practical steps that can help make this journey feel easier for you.
Step #1: Shift Your Beliefs
Your beliefs are formed through an event that happened, which creates an emotion based on how you felt about the event, and this creates an explanation or story that you tell yourself about the event. This is your belief.
For example, the event might be that despite trying everything you can think of, you get your period for the 6 month in a row. This makes you feel hopeless, because you didn’t get pregnant, and then the story you tell yourself is that getting pregnant is hard for you. Your new belief is that it’s hard to get pregnant.
Luckily, we can change and shift our beliefs! So if instead, we want to believe that getting pregnant gets to be easy, then we need to reverse that formula and focus on how we need to feel. When you change how you FEEL about a situation you can change your belief. In order to get pregnant you have to believe that it’s possible for you.
Step #2: Do Less
The journey to conceive can feel hard because we are doing so much to try and get pregnant. From cycle tracking, to eating the perfect fertility diet, all the testing, listening to all the podcasts, taking all the supplements, etc. When you take a step back and look at it, that’s A LOT!
Have you ever thought to ask why you’re doing all of these things in the first place? Of course you want to get pregnant, but why are you actually taking that certain supplement? Eating the certain food? Obsessively tracking ever day?
Take a moment and ask yourself these questions. Am I seeing progress from this? Do I enjoy doing it?
If anything feels out of alignment, this is your permission slip to cut back. Instead do less and only do what feels good! That’s the type of energy you need to conceive and create life.
Step #3: Get Support
Once you shift your beliefs and begin to do less, it’s time to enlist help and get support. This is where working with a Fertility Coach can help you to get pregnant.

Your body isn’t broken and it’s ok to get help. Enlisting support on your fertility journey doesn’t mean you’ve failed. If anything it shows courage and is an act of love towards your future baby, because you are showing them that you’re willing to do whatever it takes to bring them earth side and become the mother they need you to be.
